LYRICS OF CONTEMPORARY GERMAN ARTISTS IN THE MIRROR OF SPEECH CULTURE
Abstract
The scientific study of the authors of the article is to analyze the texts of German songs through the prism of the language culture and the norms of language. These concepts are defined and widely interpreted in the article. The factors that influence the formation of language norms and the culture of speech in general are described. Main factor is the influence of the media.
Particular attention is paid to the contemporary lyrics of the German bands. Because the genre of the song is unique in mass and social significance, the song has a wide audience and is very popular. As a form of art, it reflects language at a certain historical stage and imparts knowledge about it to the next generations, as well as presents the spiritual and cultural level of the nation (and therefore the state of language) to the contemporaries of the world community. In view of this, the analysis of this type of text is of practical value and determines the relevance of the study.
The article provides an overview of previous research on this topic and presents the directions of scientific research along this line. Little studied areas have been identified and attempts have been made to supplement them with a view to the purpose of the study.
The phenomenon of language impairment at different levels is also examined and relevant examples from the analysed corpus are given.
The frequency of recorded phenomena and the presentation of peculiarities of song discourse give reason to outline the reasons for the violation of the linguistic norm and to form promising milestones for further research on this topic. Of particular interest in the context of interdisciplinarity is the study of the pragmatic potential of texts for the frequency of the use of slang and anglicisms.
