MODERN PROBLEMS OF RELIGIOUS BUILDINGS: FIRE HAZARD AND CURRENT FIRE PROTECTION STATE

Abstract

The article deals with fire safety problems of religious buildings, mainly the problem of destruction of wooden churches by fire and possibility of its solution through joint efforts of government, society and clergy. According to the analysis of statistical data of fires in the churches of Ukraine the main reasons for their occurrence are presented. The main problematic aspects of religious buildings fire protection during their operation are analyzed. Questions of responsibility for control and supervision in the field of religious buildings’ fire safety are raised.
