Abstract
The results of experimental research on influence of corrosion inhibitors alkilimidozolin and alkilimidozolin M on corrosion activity of some working solutions of foaming agents of general and special purpose are described. The method of determining the effectiveness of these corrosion inhibitors is proposed. During the research, it was determined that the rate of corrosion of metal plates, which were kept in solutions with alkilimidozolin and alkilimidozolin M is much lower, than similar rate for solutions, which do not contain inhibitors. Also, according to the test results, corrosion activity of working solutions of foaming agents is higher in changing temperature, compared to the one, observed during tests conducted in regular room temperature. Research results can be used to develop and create new air foam fire extinguishers, and for the usage of stationary foam extinguishing systems.Downloads
