Abstract

On the basis of the laws of thermal radiation an individual heat transfer rate alarm device was created. It can be used for heat transfer rate measuring and warning about reaching the boundary values on the surface of fire protective clothing. For all types of fire protective clothing there are two modes of the device –"danger", and"leave the area". These modes help to make the firee-fighters’ work conditions safer. The specifications of the device were investigated.
