RADIOACTIVITY OF BUILDING MATERIALS AND SULFUR CONCRETE

Abstract

The data on radioactivity of building materials and the issues concerning regulation of natural isotopes content are presented. The problems of building materials and structures radiation protection are considered. On the basis of research into radiation protection properties of sulfur and sulfur concrete there are proposed compositions of sulfur concrete having poly-functional application. The issue of sulfur concrete permeability to gas during radioactive gas Rn-222 diffusion is also considered.
