THE PECULIARITIES OF EXTINGUISHING OF SOLID AND LIQUID SUBSTANCES BY POTASSIUM SALTS based FIRE EXTINGUISHING AEROSOL

Abstract

For clarification of the mechanisms of potassium salts based aerosols fire-extinguishing of inflammables in different aggregative states, the experiments in solid inflammables and inflammable liquids extinguishing were conducted. It was ascertained that speed of formation of inflammable products of decomposition and evaporation significantly effects the extinguishing. It was proposed to use the potential of combustibility for faster and more reliable determination of aerosol extinguishing concentration.
