Abstract

The work is dedicated to the fire risk analysis of exploitation facade insulation buildings, due to the use of fire-hazardous material such as thermal insulation materials based on expanded polystyrene. Obligatory certification of polymer materials and products, introduced in Ukraine on the basis of the main fire hazard indices does not include a wide range of thermal insulation materials, therefore some of these products doesn’t need obligatory certification.. This circumstance contributes to cases of fake polymeric thermal insulation materials known manufacturers of illegal small workshops, which pose a serious threat in the event of the emergence and fire spread.Widely used in the construction industry expanded polystyrene, has significant drawbacks regarding it's fire hazard indices and significantly limit the field of application. Major violations in the application of external insulation of expanded polystyrene in the construction of buildings with plaster are reviewed and analyzed.
