Abstract

The work presents the theoretical generalizations about the main methods to reduce the flammability of polymers and, in particular, polyurethane foams, chemicals that are used to reduce flammability. The solution to the problem of reducing the flammability of polyurethane foams by making a flame retardant in the polyurethane foam, under constant physical and chemical properties of polyurethane foam has been provided. It was experimentally found that the impregnation of polyurethane foam solution with various concentrations of urea significantly reduce the flammability of the polymer without changing its operational characteristics.
