Abstract

The issue of fire resistant efficiency of filled silicone organic coatings for concrete was considered, which is based on the formation of expanded thermo-insulating layer on surface of the concrete structure at temperature of 473-773 K. Due to low thermal conductivity the porous thermoinsulating coating layer prevents rapid heating of protected building structure. Fire resistant ability of coatings for concrete was researched according to standardized methodology, which is based on determining linear expansion ratio of fire resistant material. The composition of fire resistant coatings, which are characterized by the highest linear expansion ratios and the lowest thermal conductivity characteristics, was determined.
