ASSESSMENT OF FIRE RISKS AT DWELLING HOUSES DUE TO ELECTROTECHNICAL CAUSES

Abstract

Fire risk of residential sector is caused by various factors. The significant factor influencing the fire risks is violation of fire safety rules when constructing and operating electrical equipment, because 20% of fires occurring in residential sector are due to electrotechnical causes, and more than 60% of them are caused by violation of installation rules for the electrical equipment and networks. Fire risks in view of electrical causes should be taken into consideration in Lviv because of its complex architecture, especially in central part. Residential sector is divided according to the following characteristics: date of construction, number of storeys and architectural peculiarities of buildings. Fire risks at residential sector are calculated and the most dangerous causes that affect increase of risks are determined.
