Abstract

Inerting ability o f some gaseous fire extinguishing substances has been determined by opti­cal spectroscopy method. Using some standard methods experimental researches have been made for the determination o f the conditions for the cessation of burning on n-heptane, and concentration limits of flame spreading in the mixtures of air and methane with a fire extinguishing substance have been revealed.
