Abstract

The article substantiates the relevance of forming the professional and practical competence of future specialists in the context of global transformations, technological progress, socio-economic changes, and martial law in Ukraine. The problem of a lack of systematic study and optimization of methodological approaches has been identified, resulting in insufficient practical readiness among graduates of higher education institutions.
The purpose of the study is to analyze contemporary methodological approaches to the formation of professional and practical competence of students, taking into account European educational trends, forecasting labour market needs, and creating an active educational environment. The analysis of recent research has revealed an increasing focus on the competence-based approach as a foundation for the modernization of higher education.
A detailed analysis of methodological approaches has enabled the systematization of the key ones, namely: systemic, synergistic, activity-based, personality-oriented, competence-based, cultural, resource-based, and environmental approaches. The priority of the systemic and activity-based approaches as fundamental for the formation of practical competence has been substantiated, as they ensure the holistic design of the educational process and the direct integration of theoretical knowledge into practical activity.
The results of the study demonstrate the expediency of a functional distribution of methodological approaches within a comprehensive training system: the systemic and activity-based approaches are leading, while the others ensure adaptability and technological modernization. Such a structure guarantees the effective formation of professional and practical competence, the competitiveness of graduates in the labor market, and their capacity for continuous self-development and prompt response to technological and social changes.
