Редакційна політика
The editorial board of the Visnyk of Lviv State University of Life Safety adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and takes a firm stance against any violations of research ethics, including plagiarism, duplicate submissions, citation manipulation, falsification, and fabrication of data.
Duplicate Submission
Authors must submit only original materials that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by other publications (exceptions may be allowed only in extraordinary cases with prior approval from the editorial board). Any duplicate submission — including full, partial, or paraphrased reproduction of the authors’ own previous work — is considered a serious violation and will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript and possible sanctions against the authors.
Citation Manipulation
Manuscripts found to contain artificially increased citations of the authors’ own works or specific journals will be immediately rejected, and sanctions against the authors may be imposed.
Data Falsification
If fabricated or distorted data are detected in a manuscript — including manipulation of graphical materials — the submission will be immediately rejected, and additional sanctions may be applied to the authors.
In cases of suspected misconduct, the editorial board conducts an investigation in accordance with COPE guidelines. Authors are given the opportunity to explain the situation.
Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the following actions may be taken:
• rejection of the manuscript during the review process;
• issuing corrections to an already published article.
