Abstract

The use of PET containers for sampling volatile combustion products can store samples over two days with an error analysis of 5%. Sampling in this way is pretty simple and does not require sophisticated technology, which ensures the relevance in the study of combustion processes and products of combustion in fire investigation. Advantages of the use of PET containers in comparison with glass and plastic syringes as containers for storing gas samples for chromatographic analysis are defined.
