Abstract
The article analyzes the statistics of deaths and injuries in fires for children of preschool and early school age. The reports and recommendations of international organizations working in the area of life safety and security are used. The percentage distribution of deaths and injuries in the fires is shown. Children’s playing with fire as a factor of the fire hazard is analyzed. The basic socio-pedagogical tasks for future research are described.
