APPLYING AUTHENTIC PODCASTS WHILE TEACHING ENGLISH FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES

Abstract

Applying authentic podcasts while teaching courses English for specific purposes, namely English for students specialising in transport technology, constitutes subject of the study. Authentic podcasts which correspond to the topics of transport technology are under consideration. Examples of authentic podcasts and ways of their application during the educational process are provided. The article outlines technical characteristics of podcasts and ways to use them during lessons and as means of self-study.
